DAY 1: At 7:00m Transfer from your Hotel from Entebbe or Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for 3 days Uganda gorilla safari Tour.

At 6:30am after early morning breakfast, meet up with Kari Safaris guide who will brief you about your 3 days Uganda gorilla safari trip, and at 7:00am you be driven in 4×4 safari vehicle to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the south-West of Uganda on the boarders of Uganda, Congo and Rwanda of 8 -10 hrs drive With a stop-over at the Equator line at 9:30am for photos and an insightful talk about this unique landmark. An experiment is conducted here to confirm that you are indeed at the equator line. At 12:15pm we shall have another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch before continuing through the scenic Kigezi terraced highlands, passing beautiful landscapes and rural villages. You’ll then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the mountain gorillas, arriving in the evening at 4pm: Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National game park.

DAY 2: Gorilla Trekking Safari and Batwa-Pygmy Cultural Community Tour

Today marks the thrilling highlight of your safari—the gorilla trekking adventure. Embark on an unforgettable journey into the dense jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to encounter the magnificent mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Wake up early and have a hearty breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters by 7:30am with your packed lunch for briefing about the Mountain gorilla’s lifestyle, gorilla trekking rules and regulations.

After the briefing, you’ll be assigned a gorilla family to visit, at 8:00am we shall embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking safari experience through the dense and thick forest, guided by trained and experienced rangers, which may last for the entire day. We trek through the rain forest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a park ranger, porters and other trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family.

The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silver-back, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. When sighted, visitors will be guided to within 6 meters from the mountain gorillas, sit around them for a whole hour while gazing into their big round eyes, observing their behaviors and taking photos for the memorable experience.

It’s difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike; gorilla excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Expect to walk along distance in steep, slippery and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. A good physical condition is recommended. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. A ranger will brief you on how to behave with the gorillas.

After this gorilla safari tour, you will descend back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded with gorilla trekking certificates for participation in gorilla trekking activities, some funds are used in the gorilla conservation and community support.

In the evening you can relax around a campfire or take culture community walk to Batwa pygmies the original forest dwellers who will demonstrate their living lifestyle and later retire to the lodge for over night, or drive to lake Bunyonyi for canoeing, bird watching, zip lining and others activities.

DAY 3: Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport to end your 3-days Uganda gorilla safari Tour.

Enjoy a final breakfast at 8:00am. If you stayed at Lake Bunyonyi, experience a scenic canoe ride before checking out of your lodge at 10:am and drive to Kampala or Entebbe airport and having lunch at 12:pm in Mbarara city along the way, arrive in the evening at 4:30pm, If time allows you may visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or take a relaxing walk along the shores of Lake Victoria and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
